Hyundai Motor sales exceeded 7.3 million

On February 21, 2024, Hyundai Motor Group officially released its global sales and full-year financial report for 2023. The Hyundai brand's global sales in 2023 will be around 4,216,898 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 7%; Kia's global sales will be 3,087,384 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Hyundai Motor Group's global cumulative sales in 2023 exceeded 7.3 million which sounds really good. The company now count as the world's third largest automobile group (after Toyota and Volkswagen) for two consecutive years. 

According to the latest report from financial reports, Hyundai Motor's total revenue in 2023 will reach 162.7 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%, and the full-year operating profit will be 15.13 trillion won a year-on-year increase of 54%, and net profit of 12.27 trillion won increased by 53.7% year-on-year, both reaching record highs. Meanwhile, the popular Kia total revenue in 2023 to be 99.81 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, and its annual operating profit will be 11.61 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 60.5%.

Hyundai Motor also confirmed that it will continue to introduce new products and technologies into the Chinese market by leveraging its deep accumulation in the fields of hydrogen energy, electrification, N brand and smart mobility to provide Chinese consumers with rich and high-quality new travel experiences.

Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network

Apart from the above financial report, the company is expanding its Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network across key highways and cities in India. For now, the company added 11 Ultra-Fast charging stations each having three charging points, comprising one unit each of DC 150 kW, DC 60 kW and DC 30 kW capacity. 


The cities are - Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Gurugram and Bangalore, and on five major highway locations. Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director, Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said: “In line with Government of India’s focus towards creating a holistic electric vehicle ecosystem, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is committed to enhance customer’s EV ownership experience.” In addition, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is planning to install 100 Charging stations by 2027.
