According to the latest information, Creatara, an Indian innovative electric two-wheeler start-up up announces the receipt of a substantial grant from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India. The grant, totaling Rs 3.9 crores, has been awarded under the Capital Goods Scheme to support the development of indigenous technology.
This makes a huge impact moment for Creatara, for a dedication to innovation and sustainability within the automotive sector. The government grant not only validates Creatara's vision but also serves as a catalyst for accelerating the development of indigenous EV technology.
Creatara aims to strengthen the nascent Indian EV industry, fostering the creation of technologically advanced vehicles for both the local and global markets, the company shared. Vikas Gupta, CEO of Creatara, s, "This grant is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team at Creatara. With the received grant, Creatara plans to intensify its research and development endeavors, focusing on advancing indigenous technology for electric vehicles. For your information, Creatara, is an electric vehicle startup founded by two IITians. In 2023, the company showcased its concepts EVs - VS4 and VM4 - at IIT Delhi’s Research & Innovation Park.
The EVs come with features like safe-start technology, which requires a minimum rider weight to start the vehicle, preventing unauthorized or unintentional acceleration. The Creatara VS4 and VM4 also have passive battery pack cooling to reduce risk of overheating.
