Ahead of the launch, the leaked images of the upcoming Porsche 718 EV pure electric model circulating in Shanghai and this test car has been officially licensed in China. This new car is expected to debut around the end of 2024 and will be launched overseas in 2025.
Porsche expects to stop production of the fuel-powered 718 model in October 2025 and fully electrify the model during its mid-term facelift. The all-new Porsche 718 pure electric version will be built on the PPE architecture developed jointly with Audi.
At the same time, Porsche's new Macan pure electric SUV will also be built using the PPE architecture at the Leipzig plant in Germany. In terms of power, this new car may have rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The single-motor model is expected to have a power of up to 500 horsepower, and the dual-motor four-wheel drive version may be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.5 seconds.
According to the interior spy photos exposed by motor, this new car will be equipped with a large-size LCD instrument and central control screen, while the car also retains a large number of physical buttons.
