Tata Cars confirmed for launch In 2024, new EV showroom

Tata Motors is a well-known Indian car manufacturer and recently the company has brought several electric vehicles to solve the environmental issues. In December 2023, the company is all set to inaugurate its first EV-only showroom and the official date of new showroom opening is 21st December 2023. The brand will throw open the doors of the first two showrooms in the Delhi-NCR region.

Tata Motors currently offers three electric cars - the Nexon EV, the Tiago EV, and the Tigor EV. The company is also looking to bring Tata Curvv EV (Rs 20 Lakh - Mar 15, 2024 Expected Launch), Tata Punch EV (Rs 12 Lakh),  Tata Avinya (Rs 30 Lakh - Jan 02, 2025, Expected Launch), Tata Harrier EV (Rs 30 Lakh - Apr 01, 2025 Expected Launch),  and Tata Sierra (Rs 25 Lakh - Dec 01, 2025 Expected Launch). The all-new 2023 Tata Nexon EV was launched with a huge 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully digital 10.25-inch driver's display, and a 360-degree camera system. Features of Tata Tiago EV

The TATA Tiago EV comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, a cooled glovebox, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Similar to the Nexon EV, the Tiago EV also consists cruise control, connected car technology, and regenerative braking. Safety features include 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Features of Tata Tigor EV

The third EV from Tata namely known as Tata Tigor EV also comes with features like rain-sensing wipers, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with four Harman speakers and an equal number of tweeters, multi-mode regenerative braking, cruise control, auto AC, height-adjustable driver seat and electrically foldable ORVMs.

Tata Cars Confirmed For Launch In 2024

Tata is expected to launch the new Punch EV as the first model in 2024. In a recent test on road several bloggers spotted the testing of the Tata Punch EV and it gives us a hint about the launch soon in the market. The upcoming electric micro SUV will have a similar appearance to the recently refreshed Nexon, accompanied by new features. Tata says the Punch EV will have a 500 km range.

In 2024 we may see the new Tata Curvv EV. Tata will offer it with similar features as the new Nexon EV such as the big 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and touch-based climate control, along with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). 


Meanwhile, the company is also looking to introduce a new model of its existing Tata Harrier. Tata is expected to bring the EV variant of Tata Harrier in 2024 which was recently displayed at Auto Expo 2023. In terms of the car design, it is expected to get design and features like the standard variant of Harrier. For range purposes, the maximum claimed range is over 500 km, along with the option of all-wheel-drive (AWD).

More EVs are arriving in 2024

Apart from Tata, several other companies are also expected to introduce their models in 2024. Maruti is expected to launch its Maruti Suzuki eVX car. It might boast an impressive range of 550 kilometers on a single charge, thanks to its 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. 

Kia is also expected to bring its EV9, which consists of the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and is claimed to get an impressive range of up to 541 kilometers on a single charge. The EV9 is anticipated to be available in two variants. 

Mahindra and Mahindra is set to bring an electric SUV based on the XUV700. For your information, the company had already unveiled five upcoming electric SUVs during an event in the United Kingdom in August 2022. The XUV.e8 is anticipated to feature dual electric motors and all-wheel-drive technology. Mahindra is expected to equip the XUV.e8 EV with a minimum 60 kWh battery pack.
