Tata Motors To Launch 3 New EVs In 2024 In India
Tata is all set to add more electric vehicles to its portfolio and according to several reports, Tata is set to introduce three new electric vehicles in 2024. In the list, the Punch EV is the most awaited model which is said to be launched in early 2024, followed by the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in the later part of the year is the way forward for the company.
As per the December 2023 sales count report, Tata Motors sold 42,000 electric vehicles in 2022 and the number is expected to touch 65,000-70,000 units by the end of this year, thereby registering a sales growth of 60%-70%. The launch of three new EVs next year will help the company to capture a wider range of customers with the price range going up to around Rs. 30 lakh and at the same time giving more choices to prospective buyers.
Reportedly, Tata is looking to bring 9-10 electric vehicles in its portfolio in the coming years and apart from the affordable EVs, it will also target premium cars with a higher range of over 600 kilometres on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Harrier EV will be based on the heavily modified electric-specific version of the OMEGA-Arc platform.
