Tesla rolling out the FSD v12.4.1

Tesla is rolling out the latest FSD v12.4.1 to its employees and plans to open testing to a "small number of external users" this weekend. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also pointed out that with the continuous improvement of future FSD versions, "once known issues are resolved, users may not encounter a situation where they need to take over the vehicle once in a year."

However, the continuous update of functions also means that people's expectations are rising. Musk knows this very well. He said on social media that the new version contains "a lot of changes" and it can even be said that it should be called v13.

Tesla's previous practice is to upgrade the basic version number (such as 12 this time) only when the FSD system has a major update, so Musk's remarks imply that this version has changed a lot compared to the past.

Meanwhile high hopes for v12.4.1, Musk also said that the upcoming 12.5 and 12.6 versions may eventually be renamed v14 and v15 , implying that future versions will be more powerful.
